Student PLAY (PINES Library Access for Youth) Program

Welcome to the Student PLAY Program!

The PINES Library Access for Youth (PLAY) program gives students free access to public library materials and online resources to help them succeed in school. Rockdale County Public Schools (RCPS) and the Conyers-Rockdale Library System are partnering to provide the PLAY program to RCPS students.
Students can:
 •   Get a free public library account based on your student number.
 •   Check out books and access online resources with no overdue fines.

Student PLAY Program Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

How does the Student PLAY program work?
PLAY accounts give students free access to public library resources and services, online and in-person.
 •   RCPS students can find the PLAY program link on their ClassLink webpage.
 •   Your student number works just like a library card to check out materials online (e-books, audiobooks, videos, databases and more) and in-person (books, DVDs, CDs and more).
 •   The program is free and access to public library resources and services is free.
 •   There are no overdue fines. Fees apply only for lost or damaged materials.

How do I access my PLAY account?
>> RCPS students can find the PLAY program link on their ClassLink webpage.
  •   To reach the ClassLink page, students can open a web browser on their school-issued laptop or go to https://launchpad.classlink.com/rockdale and log in to their ClassLink page.
  •   Then click on the "Pines Library Pass" app to access the PLAY program.

*Students will need to contact the Conyers-Rockdale Library System (Nancy Guinn Memorial Library) if passwords need to be reset.

Online Resources:

Some e-resources require an email and username/password of your choice. When prompted for a library card number, use your PLAY account information (school district prefix RCS plus student number. For example:  RCS1234567890).

How many items can I check out at a time?
Students can borrow up to 5 items at a time from the library including books, audiobooks, CDs, and DVDs. Items can be checked out for 14 days, with 2 renewals. Users will not be able to check out additional materials until items are returned.

Is there a cost for a PLAY account?
The account is free and library resources and services are free.

What about overdue fines and fees?
There are no overdue fines, but users are responsible for fees on lost or damaged items.

What if I want to opt out of this program?

What is PINES?
PINES (Public Information Network for Electronic Services) is the statewide network of public library systems serving 300 public libraries across the state of Georgia. PINES gives you access to more than 11 million books and materials plus online resources. With your PLAY account, you can borrow items from PINES partner libraries and have them delivered to your library for free. You can also check out and return items in person at any partner library throughout the state.
