• RCPS BBERR Free Summer Meal Routes will run Monday-Thursday, June 3-July 18, 2024. You do not need to sign up, simply meet the bus at one of the stops. Meal Routes will pause June 19, 2024 and July 1-4, 2024 in observance of the Juneteenth holiday and July 4th holiday. Please note: Due to federal regulations, this summer, all meals must be consumed on site. Bus route meals must be eaten on the bus. Parent/Guardian cannot pickup meals for children. These are federal requirements that were waived during the pandemic but are once again required.
In an effort to expand service to the community, we have added several new stops. We have been actively listening to feedback from parents, community, and we understand the importance of allowing children ample time to enjoy their meals on the bus. After careful consideration with our Transportation Department, we are pleased to inform you that we are currently exploring options to extend the mealtime on the bus. Our goal is to provide students with a more relaxed and enjoyable experience while they eat, ensuring they have enough time to finish their meals without feeling rushed. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work towards implementing this change. Rest assured that we are committed to creating a positive and comfortable environment for all our children during their mealtime.
Rockdale County Public Schools (RCPS) have partnered since 2014 in the “Be Bright, Eat Right Rockdale” Summer Feeding Program to ensure Rockdale County’s children receive healthy, balanced and delicious meals throughout the summer and school breaks.
If your child (18 & under) lives in one of the neighborhoods served, they can receive a free lunch Monday through Thursday during the summer (see locations and times below). Servers will be wearing Rockdale County Public Schools Nutrition shirts.
RCPS will deliver bagged lunches via school bus over the summer to locations in neighborhoods across Rockdale County. For more information, please contact
